The MHO984 is the top MHO900 model: 800 MHz on four 12-bit channels at 4 GSa/s. It brings bandwidth that used to mean a much larger, pricier scope to a compact bench instrument, so fast clocks, edges and high-speed interfaces are in reach without giving up the low-noise 12-bit front end.

MHO934, MHO954 or MHO984?
They're the same scope at 350, 500 and 800 MHz. Pick the bandwidth that's 3 to 5 times your fastest signal of interest; the MHO984 is the one for fast edges and clocks.
Does it come with probes?
Yes, four passive probes. For the highest bandwidths, consider an active probe from the compatible accessories list.
Does it have a logic analyzer?
Yes: 16 digital channels are built in. Add RIGOL's PLA2216 logic probe to connect them, and the scope triggers on and decodes buses alongside the analog channels.
What does it decode as standard?
Parallel, RS232/UART, I2C, SPI, LIN and CAN are standard; other protocols such as FlexRay are options.
Is it portable, and how is it powered?
It's compact (265 × 162 × 77 mm, about 1.6 kg) and powered through a USB Type-C input (DC 20 V, 5 A, 70 W), so it can run from a suitable USB-C supply.
Is 500 Mpts memory standard?
No. The MHO900 has 100 Mpts as standard (single channel); 500 Mpts needs RIGOL's memory option. Some listings quote 500 Mpts as if it were standard.
