The M300 is a modular data acquisition and switch system: a mainframe with five slots for RIGOL's multiplexer, matrix, actuator and multifunction cards, plus an optional 6½-digit DMM module that can sit in any slot. One mainframe scales to 320 switch channels.

It runs scans on its own, without a PC, storing up to 100,000 time-stamped readings, and it speaks standard SCPI over USB, GPIB, LAN (LXI) and RS-232 when you do want a computer in the loop. The M300 is the bare mainframe; the M301 adds the MC3065 DMM module, and the M302 adds the DMM plus an MC3120 multiplexer card and M3TB20 terminal box, so it's ready to scan out of the box.
